Seyaad is a member of Temple Gate Chambers. Although Seyaad is based in London, he is happy to travel.
Prior to joining the Bar, Seyaad worked in-house for a leading international tour operator and obtained extensive experience in conducting arbitration proceedings, debt recovery, contractual litigation, international travel litigation matters. This included fast and multi-track cases as well as class actions. Seyaad also has experience in drafting various legal documents. Seyaad also frequently appeared in court in small claims hearings, interim applications and disposal hearings. As part of his LLM in Legal Professionals Skills, Seyaad wrote a thesis discussing international litigation.
In addition to this, Seyaad also worked as a Commercial Liability Consultant in-house for a large scale UK insurer. Seyaad defended claims received from third parties which were against the insured. Seyaad dealt with these matters from initiation to the final determination. Seyaad dealt with a broad scope of matters, ranging from disputes on a construction site to a dispute relating to power plants. From time to time, Seyaad also instructed loss adjusters or experts to investigate matters. Seyaad has developed sound knowledge of the legislation around this area of work.
Seyaad is currently instructed on behalf of the Crown Prosecution Service to prosecute in a range of criminal matters, from first appearances, trials to sentencing. Seyaad has developed strong trial advocacy and has been commended for his natural flair. Seyaad also represents in county courts dealing with all types of civil matters.
Seyaad advised a main contractor regarding non payment with their client.
Seyaad welcomes instructions from government departments who require Seyaad to prosecute in disciplinary proceedings or regulatory matters. Seyaad has a keen interest in the construction and engineering fields and is eager to develop within these areas.
